Memorial Gift Program
CFA will notify the family of the deceased of your memorial gift with a special card if you provide us with their name and address
To make a memorial gift, click memorial button below, fill out your contribution information (along with acknowledgment information so we can notify the recipient or family), and hit submit.
Gifts in Honor
Making an honor gift through CFA allows you to recognize special milestones in your loved ones' lives. Honor gifts are also a meaningful way to acknowledge cancer survivors' strength and courage in battling the disease, whether they have been a survivor for six months, a year, or more.
When your gift in honor is received, Cancer Fund of America, Inc. will promptly send a personalized tribute card to the person or family you indicated, notifying them of your thoughtful donation.
Your secure online donation will immediately help support our hospice and patient service programs. All donations are tax-deductible.

Wills/Bequest
A bequest in a will can be the simplest way to support Cancer Fund of America through planned giving. A donor may make an unrestricted bequest of a set amount of cash or a percentage of an estate. Donors may also leave collections, real estate, and other assets through a will bequest.

Types of Bequests
Residuary Bequest: Utilized if donor wishes to leave remaining property after providing for payment of all debts, taxes, expenses and other bequests.
Percentage Bequest: A donor may designate that the recipient receive a percentage of the residuary estate.
Specific Bequest: Allows a donor to designate a specific dollar amount or specific item of property including securities, real estate or tangible personal property.
Please note: When making or revising a will, a donor should obtain the assistance of an attorney.
How to add a Bequest to a will
For an outright bequest in will:
§ Specific dollar amount: "I bequeath the sum of $_______ to Cancer Fund of America, Inc., Knoxville, TN, 37921, to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems appropriate."
§ Specific property (personal property): "I bequeath <DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY> to Cancer Fund of America, Inc., Knoxville, TN, 37921, to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems appropriate."
§ Specific property (real estate): "I devise all of my right, title and interest in and to the real estate located at<DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY> to Cancer Fund of America, Inc., Knoxville, TN, 37921, to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems appropriate."
Share of, or entire residue of estate:
"I devise and bequeath (all/or _____%) of the remainder of my property toCancer Fund of America, Inc., Knoxville, TN, 37921, to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems appropriate."
Conditional bequest in will:
"If my husband/wife does not survive me, I bequeath the sum of $_______ to the Cancer Fund of America, Inc., Knoxville, TN, 37921, to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems appropriate."
If the gift to Cancer Fund of America, Inc. is for a purpose other than Cancer Fund of America, Inc.'s unrestricted use, insert the restriction in place of the words "to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems appropriate." For example:
"I bequeath the sum of $_______to Cancer Fund of America, Inc., Knoxville, TN, 37921, for the following use and purpose: <DESCRIPTION OF PURPOSE>."
In the event of a gift a subject to a restriction, you may wish to add one of the following provisions:
"However, I impose no legal or equitable obligation in this regard."
or --
"If in the judgment of the Board of Directors of Cancer Fund of America, Inc., it becomes impossible to accomplish the purposes of this gift, the income or principal may be used for such related purposes and in such manner as determined by its Board of Directors." (LastingGift.com)
